Hello, I've had this problem for several months now. Its a bit weird.
First Here's my specs :

Acer Nitro 5 AN515
16GB RAM
Intel core i5 8th gen
Geforce GTX 1050
SSD

The problem is : I'm losing FPS in every games (even UNO o_o) but randomly.
I can play for like 20min with 60fps and then 40min with 10-20 or lower fps. And sometimes it get back to 60.

It doesn't matter if I i'm on low graphics or ultra.

All my windows and nvidia settings are set to max performance.

I know my GTX and CPU are overheating but its a laptop so its kinda "normal".

I've tried to reinstall nvidia drivers (new and old).
I've also restored windows completly.

I don't understand where the problem is coming from.
If someone knows how to solve this problem, I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

Try this and see if it helps..

I know my GTX and CPU are overheating but its a laptop so its kinda "normal".

Heat is the bane of all things electronic and apart from the fact that it will throttle back performance it slowly but surely kills your hardware.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

RAM
16,0 Go Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1196MHz (18-17-17-39) You have two different specs of RAM, not life threatening but it does affect performance by the faster RAM being clocked backwards to match the speed of the slower RAM.

Operating System
Windows 10 Famille 64-bit
Computer type: Notebook
Installation Date: 09/02/2021 22:59:11 Windows is months out of date and therefore missing numerous hot fixes, you are wasting your time troubleshooting a computer that is so far out of date.

Running: Advanced SystemCare Service 14 You will not see anything like this recommended on any reputable forum, they are at best a gimmick and at worse a danger to the operating systems registry, it is an old article but the author is still highly respected and tbh Ive not seen it explained better than at the miekiemoes' Blog here

Driver Booster Scheduler More IOBIT nonsense that should be treated with the same contempt as ASC. Once Windows has been installed, you install the necessary drivers for the MB and other hardware and then leave well alone, drivers should not be allowed to auto update and you should never update any driver/s unless the new drivers are intended to resolve a specific issue that you are having, installing new drivers unnecessarily can actually cause you the very issues that any new drivers are intended to resolve and uninstalling the new drivers may not resolve the problem/s that installing the new drivers has caused.

Depending on priority it can take many months before the driver provider releases any fix and depending on the age of the hardware or software concerned they sometimes do not even bother or may have already announced an end of support.

Network
You are connected to the internet
Connected through: Intel Wireless-AC 9560 160MHz PC gaming via a wireless connection is the pits, for the most conclusive of tests you should test your notebooks online gaming performance by using an Ethernet connection.

So you're saying that my windows is not up to date, but I don't see any updates available in the settings. Should I search for a newer version on internet ?

and thank you for your warning concerning iobit programs. Should I reinstall windows to restore a clean OS ?

Speccy shows that Windows was installed three months ago and that since then you only have a couple of updates installed + a couple of Windows Defender updates that have failed to install, the update below is also known to cause problems and Microsoft have had to release a patch to fix it.

16/04/2021 2021-04 Mise à jour cumulative pour Windows 10 Version 20H2 pour les systèmes x64 (KB5001330)
Installation Status: In Progress

You could download yourself the latest Windows 10 ISO and then clean install Windows, your system drivers and nothing else but before doing any of that I would try the other suggestion that was made and try connecting the notebook to the internet using the Ethernet port.

Regarding Iobit, they employ marketing gurus to suck people in so just put it down to experience.

Well, thanks a lot for your help and advices.

I'll try to clean install windows and we'll see.

I'll switch to a better PC soon anyway but I wanted to keep this one too.

Not sure what you mean in all honesty.

If you clean install Windows 10 and your system drivers as was suggested all the junk that you presently have installed would be gotten rid of in the process.
