Hey,

I'm in the midst of cleaning my PC, programs were downloaded, things got crazy, now I'm trying to clean the mess.

Now, I uninstalled all the programs that shouldn't be on my pc. This is my gaming PC, so I don't like loads of crap on it, thats what the laptop is for lol. My sister downloaded some stuff, not exactly sure where or how she got them, but they were delted as soon as I saw them.

However, now when I'm surfing the net, if I go to click on something like "log in" or maybe even a link in google, a webpage pops up, at firs its something like putr.com (or realtime), then it'll redirect to a different source/advertisement. I've ran malware bytes, and I've ran bitdefender (both installed and ran seperately), I've tried looking for add-ons on Firefox, but I found nothing. I tried IE to see if it was something attached to FF, but I had the same problems there too.

I've had a little look in the programs aswell to see if anything is there that shouldn't be, but as far as I know, everything looks good.

Anyone know of a deep-clean anti malware-spyware program?

Would be best to have out malware team look at the system to make sure that all of the bits and peace's are out of the system.

EDIT: Spelling

Thats the thing, my scans found nothing. Thats why I'm so confused, I though it would have picked up something, especially with the problems that are ocurring. Though apparently my system is all clean and healthy.

Edit - There have been alot of blocked pop-ups though which are originating from the web-pages that keep loading up, but still not found a source.

This is you decision there may be leftovers hiding in the wings and they use software that will dig into the system.

Oh no, I'm not refusing any help, even if I do get my hands on some worth-while programs. I will accept any help I can get. I was just saying I haven't found anything and I find it a bit weird, theres definitely something going on and I'm not liking it lol. It happens at approximately every 5 clicks or at least it feels like it. I also have a text bar keep popping up when I visit google, it's invisible until I start typing, and then that redirects me to yahoo.

I'm running yet another scan though.

Could be a tool bar that got installed and you need to uninstall it. Maybe need to reset the browsers. Have you checked the search options that may have been changed.

Both IE and Mozilla Firfeofx have been reset. still no change. In fact as soon as I re-opened FF, I got the weird redirect page again.

I've looked in settings, in add-ons, search engine settings... I've scoured everything in firefox (as much as my know-how lets me) and I can't find nothing. Seems as its affecting both, I thought it was more add-ware/spyware etc rather then installed on the browser. However, as stated before, I can't find a damned thing, I'm just not tech-savvy enough to even know what I'm looking for to be honest.

I'm now locked out of Mozilla firefox, theres a screen saying my p.c is under attack and to phone a certain number and blah blah blah. It's obviously a scam, but no matter what I do whether I restart the PC, or end process tree, It's always there. I'm now running IE, but this is having similar problems. I'm running yet another scan and scouring the internet for any different programs that could help.

I'm also googling the problem to see if I can find any leads on how to eradicate this from my system.

You both have my apologies, I honestly thought this was in the malware section. It's been a long week, my sister is visiting with her newborn child, and sleep is something I've forgotten the meaning to!

I've downloaded adxcleaner, and it's running through the scans now, thanks Dougie.

I'll start a thread in the malware section if adwcleaner doesn't resolve the issue! My apologies again.

Do not worry about starting a new thread we will just move this one there so you do not have to repeat what is going on and they can see what has been done.

While you wait look through the following Information Threads.
