I'm currently having a Window popup that says briefly: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Shell\psicon.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. I need assistance of how to remove it!

Hello.

CS3 will not run on Windows 10. You need at least CS4 I'm afraid.
Thanks for the advice, so does that mean I need to go back to Windows 7? As it is at the moment after about six attempts to clear the message, it finally goes away then Adobe Photoshop seems to work. The annoying part is this 'popup' appears every time I open the software and then I spend up to 30 minutes trying to clear it. It does finally go away after several attempts. I don't know whether any part of the software is effected as it then seems to work satisfactorily.

CS3 is not supported after Windows 7, and PCHF does not recommend continuing to use operating systems that are end-of-life (EOL) due to security concerns. As for the pop-ups disappearing and then the program running, it usually means something will not load, either an add-on or a module.

Thanks that answers the question. As I'm on a course at night school for Photoshop I can get a student discount. So, I think I'll take the offer up!!
