Printer Issue ?

I recently received notification from Canon that my printer needs to be reinstalled due to 'A required file may be deleted or damaged. Reinstall this software.'

Please see screenshots.

I recently bought a new External Hard-Drive and copied everything that was on the old one to the new one. But I don't know if that has anything whatsoever to do with this but it does seem a strange coincidence.

I still have the installation disc, should I uninstall all the Canon stuff (as seen in screenshot) and reinstall ?

you can either use the original installation disc or get the latest software from the Canon website for your printer make/model.

wouldn't really matter if you remove the current stuff first or not, the reinstall will over-write anything already there if it's the same file.
