Performance Issue, random stuttering / freezing especially during and after a gaming session

It's both, and if it was heating I would've seen some overheating parts, except the southbridge you talked about I have seen no sign of overheating at all, it's the first thing I checked because it happened to me before on a different PC where overheating affected performance.

in some other forums, I've posted my issue on, they mentioned having issues with the CPU's PCI-E logic or something, I am not sure how accurate that is and I have no other choice than to get a new one and try.

One of the reasons why you should not post and follow the guidance on more than one forum, the PSU was old and weak and needed to go but there is nothing 100% conclusive what if anything else is bad.

I will provide you with the info for how to test your GPU and then leave it at that;

Stress test your GPU with Furmark

Check your FPS etc with SUPERPOSITION
