Hi guys I'm abit stuck, not great with pc's
Any help or guidance would be fantastic.
my pc won't turn on I've changed my PSU, I thought that was not working but still getting the same noise. I've got power to my mother board. I've taken out my ram, graphic card and reseated, I've changed the CMOS battery.
Mother board is a Asus Z97-A.
Turn power on front fan rotates with led light, same with graphic and CPU fan. Getting a peeping noise. Constantly turns on and off.

Any advice many thanks

CPU Intel i5 quad core processor i54460(3.2ghz) 6mb cache.

MPU: ASUS Z97-A ATX, usb3.0, sata 6gb/S.

RAM: 8 GB Kingston Hyper- X fury dual- DDR3 1600Mhz.

GPU: 2GBNvidia geforce GTX 750 ti.

Hard Disk 1 TB 3.5 sata lll 6gb/s HDD 7200rpm 32 mb cache.

Processor cooling: Corsair H55 Hydro series high performance CPU cooler.

Was built 2014/2015 I think.

Depending on the brand of BIOS an overheating CPU, a loose add on card/RAM sticks or a system short can cause such behaviour but being that you are using a liquid cooler I would check that first as it may have run dry and/or the pump has failed.

I recommend that you do not continue to try and power up in case it is the cooler as the CPU may well get fried, don`t suppose you still have the stock cooler and thermal compound do you, if not and you need one they are relatively inexpensive, see example here

Hi thanks for the reply, no I don't have the stock cooler.
Was trying to upload video keeps coming up to large file.
So potentially the pump has failed, it states it will never needs refilling

Never said it had failed but instead suggested that it be checked in case it had, you mentioned that the system was built six years ago, some of this model of cooler only had a two year warranty while others had five, still puts you outside of any warranty period so if the device has failed it has lasted longer than the warranty period, you can normally confirm if the pump is working by checking the rpm readings but this only if it is connected to a four pin fan header on the MB, two other checks, other than the warning beeps, have you heard any strange noises coming from inside the computer, the following check needs to be done with caution, check to see if the radiator is still cool but the hoses near the CPU are warming up, if they are it suggests pump failure..

The device being a sealed unit was indeed intended to be non refillable but that does not mean it will last forever, the coolant content inside the cooler will overtime decrease and at some point there be so little so as to be ineffective, a common cause of pump failure is them running dry.

I've ordered a cooling fan for CPU.
Only other noise is coming from dvd drive I think,
Press power button then it cuts out less then 10sec then tries to boot up again, its like in a loop. But fans do kick in.

Sorry not very good with pc terms.

Did you do the checks that were suggested first, purchasing anything is always a last resort and is never suggested by us without doing every check possible first, apart from any possible waste of peoples time and cash we don`t want anyone coming back and saying I replaced such and such and it hasn't fixed it but you said it would.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply as I have to read the full post to make sure nothing gets missed,, thanks.
