UPDATE: So I took apart the whole thing and put it back together and I’m getting the same exact results. No bent pins, everything is fully connected. Really rather unfortunate it’s come to this either have to rma the board or the cpu. Not sure which one yet. I have a friend with a PC as well. Would it be safe for me to put my cpu on his motherboard and test that way or vice versa?

Is your CPU compatible with your friends motherboard, if not sure post your friends MB info for us and one of us will check.

Trying your CPU in another known good compatible MB is the safest option, this because a dead CPU cannot damage the MB when fitted correctly but putting a known good CPU in an unproven state MB could result in the CPU becoming damaged.

Before swapping out the CPUs, long shot but try swapping in your friends PSU, just in case the12V ATX supply to the CPU socket is bad, do this without the add on video card in place.

So I was talking to my friend. He only has a 7th gen motherboard. So that will not work. At this point, I think I’m just going to rma both the motherboard and the cpu. I think that’s all I can really do.

Well I’m just gonna keep updating this thread. I came to the conclusion to get this done the fastest is to contact both manufacturers and see what happens. I have a rma number from Asus and will be sending that part out ASAP. I also contacted intel today for my chipset. They have created a case number for me and asked me to send several pictures of the cpu. I’m really not sure if I’m going to get anywhere with this considering I overclocked tbe processor.

I hate anything to do with overclocking, quickest way to have to toss your hardware into the trash when things go wrong, both AMD and Intel have ways of checking if a CPU has been badly OCd and will not reimburse folk when they have determined it, Intel as far back as 2012 offered an additional one off warranty for overclockers, info here

Any update for us?
Okay so here’s where I’m at. I’ve contacted intel and I’m sending out the CPU out tomorrow. I will also be sending out the motherboard eventually too. I need to see what each manufacturer says about each part. Hopefully intel will say the processor works fine and all I have to do is send the board to Asus.

Ah yes, so I sent both the motherboard and cpu to both of their respective companies. So far I only got one response and it’s from Asus saying there is some sort of customer damage that I have to pay for. As for what in the world that could be, I have no clue. I remember taking extreme care of that motherboard. Intel has not replied yet about my cpu. I’m expecting a response this week. Apologies for not keeping up as I should. Will post when I get responses from both companies!
