Fairly old win 10 PC up to date ref cumulative releases exhibits bizarre behaviour depending on which WiFi dongle attached.
a) existing Dual Band USB adaptor stopped connecting to home router (up to date Fritz.Box 7362 SL) shows some neighborhood routers as being available but home doesn't show up. There cannot be a problem with the router as there are many other devices connecting with no problem . This PC has been in happy connection to this router for some years.
I have reinstalled dongle from CD and nothing. Troubleshooting comes up with message that "you haven't tried to connect to a router".
Device Manager shows my router on info page when i tab on available devices but it doesn't show when I look at network connections.
2) Edimax 150Mbps which I from a Pi finds and connects to my home router but loses connection after 2-3 minutes. Troubleshooting finds problem and corrects but connection breaks
What can I do. I have read a thread today from Pablo white which sounds similar but different.
I would prefer to run a tool to correct if one exists. I would like to avoid inputting a series of commands. But will if nothing else
What is recommendation
Thanks
