Hi. I would like some opinions on what this might be. I had this pc for about 2 years (+/-) with these specs: rtx 2060 gpu, i5 9400f cpu and corsair vs series vs550 psu. About a month ago, both my monitors shut down while fans went to 100% while playing heavier games (Like Apex legends!) - now, when playing something way lighter like Lost ark, nothing really happens. Every time i try to play a game with heavier load, this happens in about 5 to 30/40 minutes since the game was opened. At first i thought i would be my gpu overheating so i proceeded to change thermal paste and later on i installed 3 more fans, this did not fix it. Keep in mind that i used to play the same heavy load games before this happened. I'm not an expert in pc's and i don't know what could cause this, so i would really appreciate if you guys could help me out.

Others may have more to say...

You PSU may be one of the issues it can only put out 504 WATTS

The RTX 2060 requires 550 WATTS.

The PSU is a problem as it should never ever have been used in a computer that has an add on video card, Corsair do make good PSUs but they must be used for their intended purpose and when a mid or high end GPU is involved a minimum of a Gold efficiency rated PSU must 100% be used, VS = Value Series and based on the age of your PSU it appears to be the one with an orange label and that was rated as Tier E • Potentially dangerous in multiple scenarios when independently tested here

I second Rustys' thoughts.

"when playing something way lighter like Lost ark, nothing really happens. Every time i try to play a game with heavier load, this happens in about 5 to 30/40 minutes since the game was opened."

My first thought was that you were running out of juice, and seeing the PSU specs strengthens Rustys' argument. Although the GPU could be part of the issue, it's not high on my list. I'd start with the PSU as not having enough wattage can make any rig fail.

It's always a good idea to calculate the PC components total power requirements and add some power overhead on a gaming rig. I'd recommend 100-Watt overhead minimum.
