Let me start this off by showing my specs:

  • Radeon RX 570 Series (GPU)
  • AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-Core Processor
  • 16 GB Memory
  • MSI MPG X570 GAMING PLUS Motherboard (trash ik, upgrading soon)
  • Dell S3220DGF 32-Inch (This monitor is INCREDIBLE)
  • Acer VG270U (My secondary monitor, also very good)
  • Windows 11
All drivers are up to date, I think this problem started a few months ago and it wasnt always like this. I mainly play valorant and rocket league. I usually have only discord open on my second monitor when im gaming, everytime I tab out to try and use it it's severly slow too the point where I cant even open a discord server or join a incoming call. Say im already in a call with someone and I open valorant the call audio just glitches out for a good 5 minutes and my mic wont pick up any mic audio in the process. Ive also been experinceing random fps drops that cause the game to stutter and when this happens the discord audio stutters as well. Discord isnt the only thing that runs slow, chrome, task manager, settings and basically any other program.

If I have obs running with my cam on via my iphone and I open valorant it just freezes my cam, and my compuer just disconnects my iphone in itunes. Its very annoying. Wallpaper engine also freezes.

Another thing, even when I close the game my computer will stay running slow until I restart it.

Everything used to run fine with no problems, ive been thinking about just nuking my computer and starting fresh but before that im posting here to see if you guys have any fixes.

I'm desperate at this point and have been trying to fix this for ages. Thanks for reading.

If the PC came with Windows 10 then I s the PC Windows 11 compatible?
When this happens can you open task manager to see what’s taking up all the cpu?
Do you have third party antivirus installed? If yes then uninstall it, use their removal tool & ensure Defender is working & test for the problem.
If it remains then I would change over the MB, test & if the same problem appears then try a clean install.
