Hi all, so for a while, I have been getting this issue where my PC will freeze while playing games out of nowhere. It seems to be highly unpredictable just when it will freeze... but when it does, a loud, ear-piercing static will come out of the headphones and everything will become unresponsive. The only option is to reboot the computer at this point.
So far I have tried this:
So far I believe this is either...
A) Faulty Ram B) Faulty Windows install or B) Faulty mobo/PSU
Anyone has any idea of where I can start with this issue? Thanks
So far I have tried this:
- Deleting game config files from Documents folder
- Uninstalling, deleting the whole game files and reinstalling my games
- Uninstalling Nvidia display driver, and reinstalling the latest one from the website
- Defragging hard drives
- Running a virus scan
- Running in safe mode
- Doing a clean boot
- SFC /SCANNOW
- DISM /online /service-image /restorehealth
- Running startup repair with a Windows 10 usb
- Updating Windows 10 to the latest version
- Removing sound driver and reinstalling the latest one from Windows Update
- Installing the latest Realtek Audio driver from the website
