PC not booting up

Did you use these between the motherboard and the case.?
When you said, you may need longer screws, made me think you are not fitting risers.

Yes, so that rod lines up with the center hole of my mb (there are 9 holes total) it has a short ribbet that the mb hole fits over top of. However the provided screws are not nearly long enough to reach to other 8 holes so there was possibly some hard pressure applied when i screwed the mb into the case.

currently the pc is running and im just having to set up operating system, etc... i have not put the parts back into the case as of yet.

And no i don't remember seeing those risers. il have to check the boxes and bags again after work tonight.

You must use those risers (posted image) so you need to find them.
Not using them, there is no way your motherboard could possibly line up with your I/O Plate in the back of the tower. Motherboard will short out, on the case, without risers fitted.

Yeah, i'm thinking that was the problem. I probably have the bag of those riser in a box that i just must have missed. I'll find them and get the components installed again inside the case tonight and let you know how it goes. Thanks so much btw for all the quick help!

So i've given up. Thanks for the help but sorry for wasting you time.

I've built 2 pc's in the past and have had no issues, but for whatever reason this won't even turn on now. Not even attempting to start up like the infinite loop i had before, it just simply does nothing when i press the power button on the case. I've checked everything and just don't understand the problems and the fact that it could be anything makes it even worse... I've wasted too much money on these parts for them to not work when put together.

Could have the front panel wires wrong to the Motherboard. Hence it won't turn on.
Did you find the risers?
My advice is to take the bits to a computer shop, and let them assemble for you.
Computer shops here charge around $50 to assemble a PC.
You have some good bits there, don't risk anymore damage.:)
