Hello

I have been having issues with my PC locking up. Is there anyway to narrow down the field of which hardware may be causing it. Malnutrition had been working on it with me coming from a malware problem, he has suggested I get new eyes on this and post here in this thread. I sure appreciate the time he spent on it. The link below is to that thread. I am wondering/hoping someone can help narrow down the hardware that may be causing it. When I lock up, I still am able to mouse to taskbar and choose close window but nothing happens. I have to hard boot to recover.

Hello

Could be a permission problem with some software you have.. Some say it also be a failing HDD..

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

I can't see what it is, I usually buy thermaltake and it is most likely 750 or 800. It is set in the bottom of the case, not the usual top of the case, so I can not see the name. There wouldnt happen to be an app for that would there? lol

The PSU is the most important component in a computer and i`m afraid that without the details your thread is dead in the water.

Couple of things, if the PSU were any good you would most certainly remember the details, if the PSU was still covered by any warranty you would still have the paperwork, Thermaltake do not make good PSUs and last but not least this computers hardware dates back fifteen years so heaven knows how old the PSU is.
