Pc heavily underperforming

Hi, about a month ago I build a gaming pc but now it's heavily underperforming. In csgo my framerate is only 45fps when normally it plays on 200-400fps. I benchmarked my pc after that and my cpu and gpu both work fine.Temperature also isn't a problem because, both my gpu and cpu reach a max temp of only 60 degrees celcius.
This al happened after I recently was installing a rgb led strip while the pc was on (I later regretted that decision) and the rgb extender cable, while plugged in the mobo, touched my mobo and my pc instantly turned off. After that the pc boots normally and everything works fine but it just underperforms in games.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

My system:
Amd ryzen 1600
Msi b350 gaming pro carbon
Msi gtx 1050ti gaming x
Kingston hyperx fury 2x4gb 2666mhz
Seasonic m12II evo 520w

Welcome to PCHF Leander,

The two are most likely unrelated as any damage caused by touching the board would normally ruin the MB and other hardware.
I take it that you are now aware that you should never work inside a computer when it is connected to the mains let alone turned on.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

Doesn't appear to be any damage to the hardware which is a good start.

Couple of questions if I may;

You mention that the computer under performs in games, other than CSGO what games.

You have high RAM usage for a computer that is not under load + the voltage at 1.344V as opposed to what it should be at 1.2V is too high, have you overclocked or made any changes at all in the BIOS.

Physical Memory Memory Usage: 39 %
Voltage DRAM: 1.344 V

I haven't made any changes in the bios. The memory usage is probably at 39% because when I made that speccy list chrome was still active. So are you saying I should lower the voltage

Can you answer each question asked if possible.

Not suggesting you change anything in the BIOS atm, just trying to find out why the readings are so high, you should though change the Power Plan option in Windows from High Performance to Balanced, High Performance is a form of overclocking that can cause instability, overheating or a combination of both.

Oh sry for not answering the question. My pc also underperforms in rainbow six siege, portal 2 and gmod.
I don't think I can change the power plan because the pc I have problems with is a desktop which is powered by a wall outlet. But if I'm wrong where can I change the power plan because I don't have that option on my taskbar.

Please do not quote every reply Leander, it makes for unnecessary reading and really does not help any.

The idea of changing the power plan is to prevent your computer from becoming unstable and overheating.

I suspect that your problem is with your internet service and that is why I mentioned that all of your games are played via Steam.

Download and run Valley Benchmark (free) from here this will stress test your system and prove one way or another if there is anything wrong with your hardware, which I suspect there isn't.

Got an early start so going offline now, will check back asap tomorrow.
