Solved PC freezing for a few seconds multiple times per day - no BSOD

Did you follow the prework after the wipe?

If it's not saving dump files, it could point to a corrupted Windows install or faulty hardware
Yes I did it 3 total times. Once prior to posting, once after first wipe and then again after this most recent wipe.

Someone suggested to me that it could be my power supply causing the problem so I just finished installing a new one. Going to try and play games and watch movies etc to see if I get another freeze with the new power supply.

Sadly I had another freeze even after replacing the PSU. Not that the logs have been helpful but I decided to run the sysnative again just in case there is something new.

Sound like a bad hard drive. We're going to test it.

Go ahead and download SeaTools for Windows.

Install it and run it. You'll be greeted with a drive list. Go ahead and select the drive and go to Basic Tests > Short Drive Self Test. If it passes, move on to Short Generic. If that passes, run Long Generic. Note that Long Generic will take an hour or so, so run it overnight.

Let's test your RAM to ensure your RAM is OK :)

  • Click Start, type mdsched.exe in the Search box, and then press Enter.
  • Choose whether to restart the computer and run the tool immediately or schedule the tool to run at the next restart.
  • Windows Memory Diagnostics runs automatically after the computer restarts and performs a standard memory test automatically. If you want to perform fewer or more tests, press F1, use the Up and Down arrow keys to set the Test Mix as Basic, Standard, or Extended, and then press F10 to apply the desired settings and resume testing.
  • When testing is completed, the computer restarts automatically. You’ll see the test results when you log on.

I did previusly run the windows memory diagnostics in addition to memtest86 and neither reported a problem. I am currently scanning my hard drives on the long generic scan as the other scans passed. I will report back with results on those scans and I will do another windows memory diagnostic just to be sure.
 
So your HD is ok, PSU is ok, RAM is ok, GPU is ok. Time to test the CPU.

Download Prime95 and let it run for about 30 minutes.

This will stress test your CPU. Any CPU problems will be reported.

So the freeze happened right when I launched prime stress testing but it could have been coincidence. It didn't happen again for the duration of the scan after that.
 
@jmarket Hey! I want to put this on hold for the weekend until at least Tuesday. I spoke with Amazon and walked them through all of the troubleshooting from both here and others trying to help. With that said I just ordered a brand new motherboard and RAM that should be here on monday or tuesday. I will install them and then check to see if the freezing problem resumes.

Any updates?

Hello! I was going to wait until tomorrow just to be absolutely sure everything was ok. I did swap out my RAM and motherboard and have not had a single freeze since. At this point I am fine with marking it as resolved and if the issue crops up again I will reach out (after crying for hours on end).

I did want to take a moment and just say thank you for the help. You all take time out of your day to assist others and it was a great relief for me to have someone assist in finding a solution. Have a good one!
