I've been dealing with frequent freezes and visual glitches for over a year now and I've tried many things to try and diagnose the problem. This wasnt a problem years ago, this is a problem that has come up within the last year.

My PC freezes and requires a hard reset when I:

import videos into editing software (adobe premiere pro and davinci resolve both crash, but microsoft clipchamp doesn't for some reason)
record/stream video (randomly)
play games (some games are better at crashing my pc than others, and it seems random)

Other issues:
recording videos sometimes becomes corrupted
importing videos sometimes becomes corrupted

Things I've tried over time:

upgraded ram
upgraded ssd
reinstall windows
taken pc to a repair shop (they were unable to reproduce the freeze after playing and streaming elden ring for 24 hours straight?? my guess is that they had smaller monitors so it was less intense on the pc but idk)

check for corrupted files on disks
check for overheating
uninstall and reinstall gpu drivers

I guess that its something to do with my gpu/gpu drivers but I'm honestly out of ideas on what could be the problem. Any insight is appreciated.

Can see at least two things amiss in Speccy but before elaborating can I ask the below;

What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

Power Profile
Active power scheme: CoreVeeAir's

What does the above in red even mean 🤔

this is the psu i have in my build: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Tc3RsY/seasonic-power-supply-ss620gm2

I have a custom power plan for my computer, its not nessasary, but I dont suspect its the issue as ive had these problems before I've used this power plan.

That power supply is rated Tier C - Low End, see here; https://cultists.network/140/psu-tier-list/
And is only Bronze rated.
Can't vouch that this is your issue, but it would definitely be the first thing I'd be replacing if mine.

Unplug D:\ drive and see if that helps. It is showing some Read and some Seek errors in the SMART values.
Your BIOS is v0318 dated June 2018, latest is v4604, dated April 2024. Updating that wouldn't hurt.
You have two different sets of memory. Try only one set and see if it is more stable.
Disable all your scheduled tasks, they can always be re-enabled later.

I updated my BIOS, disabled scheduled tasks, unplugged my D:\ drive and removed one set of RAM.

I tried recording video with AMD software again and its still corrupted, OBS recordings work fine.

I haven't checked stability with premiere pro or gams since those are on my D:\ drive

Nothing really seems to have changed, I'm also noticing another issue where my PC is stalling for 1-2s every now and then. (not registering keystrokes or clicks during that time).

Does the motherboard have a seconddary PCI slot to connect the GPU to? If so try that.

If not have you tried a M 2 to PCI riser? https://confidentstages.com/m-2-to-pcie-riser/

Disable windows update when gaming/processing video. https://www.sordum.org/9470/windows-update-blocker-v1-8/
Use this prior to working, consider it a gaming/processing video booster. https://www.d7xtech.com/killemall/
Disable Bitlocker https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/so...urn-off-bitlocker-in-windows-10-or-windows-11
This tool may also help on the software side. https://www.sordum.org/downloads/?easy-service-optimizer

This is my laundry list, it's a good starting point for troubleshooting and should get you an idea what's going on, none of these should impact a warranty claim:

1. Try running the following programs, also try to keep at least 25-30% of your disks as free space.

Run Disk Cleanup (check all the boxes) this will delete things such as your recycling bin, so make sure you don't have any files you want to keep.

Run Defragment and Optimize Drives, run this on your drives.

These will free up some space, but you may need to relocate/delete files to reach the suggested free space.

2. Disable any overclocking or changes to power/performance settings

Undo any overclocking you may have done (if any)

Settings > System > Power and sleep > Additional power settings
Make sure your power plan is set to balanced, high performance/ultimate performance is only beneficial on gaming laptops where it needs that extra boost.

3. Check for Operating System Corruption

Right click on the Windows logo in the bottom left and select Windows Powershell (Admin)
Run these three commands separately:

sfc /scannow

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

These will take a while to run, do not close out of Powershell while they are running, if one fails then move onto the next and then loop back around after a restart.

Note: It doesn't hurt to make a system backup before you make all these changes, save any important files of folders. While these changes shouldn't cause any issues, better to be safe than sorry.

4. Unplug unnecessary devices.

If you have a gamepad, extra monitor, external hard drive/flash drive, or anything that is not essential to using the computer plugged in, unplug it.

Once you have completed all of these tasks, restart it (using the restart option in the power menu) and re-test.
