i turned on my desktop and the fan got really loud. my pc was still loading up nomal i saw the acer logo and it seemed fine but i held the power button and restarted before it got to desktop. the fan is fine now does this mean something is broken? i blew in my pc so it could have been dust.

just checking the time line....

the fan was loud, you blew out some dust, the noise stopped - correct?

if so, it may simply have been dust buildup on the heat sink fins.
might as well go a step further and check the thermal grease under the heat sink.
at 2yo it's very likely fine - but worth a check as even the dust buildup shouldn't have been too bad unless you live in a higher than normal 'dirty' environment (cats, smoker, carpet, high human traffic, outside dust, smoggy city etc)

but the fan replacement may still be a good idea.
while the standard, CPU supplied ones are just fine, a 3rd party add-on heatsink with fan ARE better and quieter, and recommended for higher than average usage like gaming and video editing.
