Sorry but both of your questions are already answered in the information that was provided :)

Download then run the Windows All in One Repair tool from here, disregard the malware guidance but follow the other steps to the letter and in particular ensuring that you first create a new restore point and perform a proper Windows clean boot before running the repair, details for the clean boot here.

The word repair is there to make sure that people are aware that the tool can only try and fix errors using the present Windows installation and tbh there would be no need for the tool otherwise as Windows own reset or refresh tools are there for reinstalling Windows.

Ignore the above message, didnt know how to delete it after finding out the answer but anyways, i followed all the steps presented, i performed a clean boot, created restore point and backup and also done the repairing. However after the repair was finished and i restarted my PC, i got a windows message saying that my default browser (chrome) was causing a problem and so the default browser was changed from chrome to Microsoft edge. Another thing, is there anyway to see the results of the repair or something cause i have no idea what issues arose if any etc.

I have order the PSU i previously sent you as i couldn't find one with 500W. I will be installing the PSU towards end of next week when it is delivered, is there any way to check it when i install it to see if everything is working fine or do i just keep playing games and eventually waiting to see if the current problems im experiences occur?

Thanks for your time!

Have you checked for and been able to install any Windows 10 updates since restarting the computer.

Reinstall Chrome and make it your default browser again.

Look on the C: drive/partition for a Windows AIO tool repair log.

I did find a 600W Gold EVGA PSU here but if you don`t mind paying more for the Corsair and its ten year warranty that would be my choice of PSU out of the two.

ah dam, i thought they would all be priced at around $150 so i went for a brand that i know. Im cut. RIP

in relation to the widnows updates in your reply, iv always been able to install windows updates and i checked for updates however there are none right now.

i have reinstalled chrome and set it as a default browser.

In terms of the log, i have found them where you said they are, would you like me to attach a copy of it?

Sorry but not the case and this was highlighted back in my reply #7;

Windows is shown to have been installed on 23/09/2020, can I ask from where the Windows 10 media for the install came from and why is there so much of a gap between checking for and installing the couple of Windows 10 updates that have actually been installed.

Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 23/09/2020 6:58:38 PM

From your reply #8;

I had to reinstall windows from a USB because my computer wasnt starting up anymore and had to reset it entirely, I had the startup and recovery boot menu and it wasnt turning. As for the updates I'm not sure what you mean.

From my reply #11;

Speccy shows that Windows 10 was installed on September 23rd last year but only one Windows 10 update has been installed since and that there two that are apparently stuck, there are normally only two reasons why Windows would be so far out of date, Windows is not legit and/or Windows is corrupt.

If I am nothing else I am thorough + have a good memory, Windows and Windows updates were both broken and that is why you were asked to run the Windows AIO Repair tool.

No need for the log unless you have any Windows related problems over the next couple of days.

Ok so, i just tried playing Black Ops Cold War which is high demanding game and once I got into the game it wasn't loading in all content and started freezing, my discord whom i was using crashed and stopped responding and so I tried closing it and i was just stuck with a loading icon. then i tried to close my game and quit to desktop however it froze and i was stuck at the screen. So I used ctrl+alt+del to try to end the processes through task manager but I couldn't cause then I was stuck at "preparing security options" loading screen so I just powered off my pc. after i turn it on (it was slow to turn on), I go to event viewer to check what happened and I find out that there was 51 errors and 5 critical logs within the span of 5 minutes.

There was 2 critical logsof the below one

also 2 critical logs of the below

And the 5th critical log was about unexpected shutdown.
And the error logs all had one of the below messages

Nothing to do with Windows and all to do with HID drivers, your headset.

You really don`t want to be doing this until you have the new PSU in place and you are asking for trouble if you continue to do so, once you have fitted the new PSU you need to test the PC by using it as you normally would, any problems, post back with a new Speccy url and being that you will have the new PSU we will then be able to test your system without any fear of the PSU going bang.

Wasn`t my intention but you need to think of a PSU as you do a human heart that pumps blood around the body, a weak or interrupted supply as you know can be disastrous.

Fwiw, your model of PSU is placed in the Tier C • Recommended for cheap mid/low-end systems section here

Forget about the claimed output or efficiency rating that some PSUs claim, it is the quality of the internal components and soldering that makes for a good PSU and one sure fire way of knowing that the PSU manufacturer is confident that their product is sound is the length of the warranty period that they offer, seven years for a Gold efficiency rated PSU is acceptable but a ten year warranty period is better.

Ye will definitely keep that noted. I bought it because it had so many good reviews and such high watts for low price seemed amazing so when i bought it my thought process was that i probably wont need to buy one in a very long time and put everything back together again, but i guess that isnt that case now lol. I mean its definitely increased my knowledge to an extent about installing the hardware but ye. Hopefully it doesn't take long to install as i have learnt somethings from my rookie mistakes the first time. Fingers crossed.

My major concern right now is if its another hardware at fault too, then i would be just so upset and bummed out.

Not an uncommon approach but flawed I`m afraid, Corsair unlike many brands do actually suggest the type of use that their particular PSU should be used for, for your model they say the following here "CORSAIR CV power supplies are ideal for powering your new home or office PC," this along with the rather short three year warranty period.

Chances are that the rest of your hardware is good but we cannot test it using the present PSU.

Ye i bought i never checked the official corsair website about it until you sent me that link a few days ago. need to do that with future hardware i might buy.

i really hope they are.

Another thing is that i cant even find much solutions for my headset problem. Whenever i play Apex Legends my sound randomly cuts out during the game and i cant hear anything or sometimes some i can hear some sounds but not everything; for example; i will be able to hear ambience noise but no gunshots. And then this causes my game and computer to crash. But ye cant wait till i install it and test it and hopefully all is well after.

thanks again for all the help you have provided, appreciate it a lot.
