Solved Pc crash black screen playing games

Hello all,
I bought a pc last year :

- Be Quiet Pure Base 500 Black
- ASUS PRIME Z590-P
- Intel Core i9 11900K - 3,5Ghz
- Corsair Vengeance 16GB(3000Mhz) - Samsung 980 PRO 500GB M.2 SSD - NVIDIA RTX 2060 SUPER 8GB
- Onboard - 7.1 HD audio Realtek ALC892 - Cooler Master Hyper H412R
- Gelid Solutions GC-Extreme
- Cooler Master MWE 650 (650Watt

The pc crashes for a few seconds with black screen when I play games, like BeamNG or World of Warcraft. Also with benchmark apps like Furmark, Heaven, 3DMark etc. The pc is very clean. No dust whatsoever.
Loads of people advised me to replace te PSU. I did replace it with Be Quiet Pure Power 12 but still the same problems. I send the pc back already 2 times to the shop but they endure no problems. I changed ALL of the hardware around the pc ( mouse KB router monitor headset) but also no result. Can anyone plz help me?

Welcome to PCHF Dizastrous,

Typical behaviour of something overheating and that includes the PSU internally.

Cooler Master MWE 650 (650Watt

Cooler Master no longer make good PSUs so we need to a link to your exact PSU to see just how good or bad it is.

Provide a link to the model of BeQuiet PSU you obtained.

Is your GPU one of Nvidea`s own or a third party such as Gigabyte or MSI etc.

Certainly not down to a lack of power then.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

You are welcome btw :)

I also notice that the fans on the gpu start to work a bit harder before the screen freezes and goes black for a second or 5.
When I do the fans manually at 100%, the benchmark survives a bit longer. Crash happens when gpu is not that.hot. Around 65

Unless urgent can I ask that you do not double/multi post, I get up to 200 emails a day to read and there is nothing worse than being mid way through typing a reply but then having to stop to see what was added.

Operating System
Windows 11 Pro 64-bit
Computer type: Desktop
Installation Date: 12-4-2023 09:54:37

The divers were not correctly installed.

Once Windows has been clean installed you must then install first the MBs chipset drivers, then the storage/SATA drivers and third the graphics drivers, the drivers can either come from a disk provided by the motherboard manufacturer or downloaded from their site and saved to a flash drive etc, this is a must and Windows should not be allowed to check for updates before it has been done as more often than not Windows installs the wrong drivers or in the incorrect order and this can cause all sorts of problems.

Power Profile
Active power scheme: High performance

Change the Windows Power Plan to Balanced, Ultra and High Performance are a form of overclocking that is known to cause stability and overheating issues, the setting should only be used for gaming type notebooks that have a discrete GPU that needs the extra power.

Partition 1
Partition ID: Disk #0, Partition #1
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 94FD30B9
Size: 116 GB
Used Space: 63 GB (54%)
Free Space: 53 GB (46%)

Not an immediate problem but it soon will be.

Windows should be on its own 256GB or above drive or on a 256GB partition on a larger capacity drive, this because gone are the days when we get a new release of Windows on a DVD every few years and instead the present version will just keep on growing and growing, you wont need to do a clean install the next time a new Windows OS is released you will just install it over the top of W11, regular security updates/patches and Windows Defender updates are going to fill up such a small partition in no time, you must keep around 20GB of free space at all times as well to stop Windows from becoming corrupt by being overwritten.

I will single post only from now on.

At the risk of sounding like a nag no need to quote, we have to read all quoted posts which not only wastes our time but also keeps you waiting as well.

The PSU while not brilliant is better than the White version of the same PSU, when tested it was rated as – Tier C • Low-end here
