As the title states, im helpless, my pv was working fine until recently, built it myself. Today i bought a new CPU, went to replace the old one, and ever since then my pc doesnt boot up althought i can the LAN light and motherboard lights up. Initially i thought it could be faulty cpu, replaced it with the old one still no change. Chipset fits same socket etc etc. Ive tried countless things but i have no idea what more is there to do. Anyone can give me some tips? Also all components are 2 months new.

Also i just rememberedthat 2 months ago when ibuilt it, it had the same issue and it literally fixed itself adter COUNTLESS power offs and tries. Ever since then it functioned perfectly. My guess is on the mbu, tried removing each component etc to find the problem but it never powered on in the first place

in case you haven't already tried these;
  • loose/bad connection somewhere
  • try one RAM chip at a time
  • try without graphics card
  • do you get the POST single beep (make sure mobo has speaker)
  • remove, clean and reseat memory and graphics card

Aleight i found the souece of the problem, althought the chipset and socket fits, the mbu is outdated and cant handle the new cpu, ive ordered new psu already wich wiľ fit in rest of the rig perfectly
