Hey folks,
I have the following problem: on my gaming PC (specs below) I sometimes get frame drops and audio distortion ('metallic', choppy sound) while in-game (Overwatch, Shadow of the Tomb Raider). The issue persists even if I quit the game, a reboot (usually, at times you need several) fixes it.
Yesterday, the PC wouldn't even boot: it powers on but gets stuck on either the Motherboard Logo screen, a black screen or the Windows screen. This morning it booted up fine.
I did a full re-install of Windows a while back which didn't solve anything (so I figure it's a hardware issue??).
Specs:
Intel Core i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00 GHz
ASRock UEFI Motherboard Z97 Pro4 P2.50
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980
32 GB RAM (not sure about the model...)
Windows 10 64 Bit
I'm grateful for every bit of help about the cause (could it be a fried MoBo?) or a solution. Thanks! (And sorry if this post is in the wrong place, I'm new to this :X )
