This is copied and pasted from my forum post I just made on tomshardware.com, so I used a thread there as a reference.
So I've seen a few threads that appear to be having the same issue such as this one which is explaining my issue exactly. This began roughly one week ago with my video and audio losing sync while I watch any streaming service, but I could refresh the page and fix it for around 15 minutes before I had to do another refresh. Just a few days ago, the issue escalated to stuttering. When I turn on or restart my computer, the issue isn't there but gradually gets worse . As long as there is no audio or video, my computer will run fine. When I am only playing music on spotify though, I have no issues unless I am running something else with video and audio. Video games become unplayable after 30 minutes to an hour of playing from constant audio stuttering and sounding robotic, and video stuttering with frame drops at the same time; they are definitely correlating. I recently factory reset my computer, with the first thing installed being the antivirus, Bitdefender, so it is highly unlikely that it is caused by malware or viruses. In the thread I posted above, the user said they were able to fix their system by removing their pci adapter driver and using an ethernet cable instead. I don't feel this is likely in my case though because I am already using an ethernet cable, and when disabling my wireless adapter, nothing changed. I did have Driver Easy installed but don't think I actually installed any drivers through it but rolled back recent installs anyway to be safe, and reinstalled drivers through Alienware's SupportAssist program. Additionally, I also completely uninstalled and reinstalled the driver for my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER, so that shouldn't be the issue either. To check for hardware damage, I used both SupportAssist and Hardware Diagnostics through BIOS. I have not noticed any issues through task manager either, with my CPU only running a max of 40% and GPU reaching a high of 79 degrees celcius while playing. I'd be inclined to say it is a software issue, but I am just about lost at this point. Any help at all would be much appreciated, and I am happy to try any suggestions or answer any questions. Thank you, and I apologize for the length of this.
If it is helpful at all, here's some info on my computer:
Alienware Aurora R11
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz
16 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER
