I have recently ran into an issue with a game (SMT Nocturne HD Remaster). I was able to play it perfectly using only my laptop screen for a week or so, but then I plugged it into an external monitor and played it. Since then it will only run when it is plugged into the external display. All other games have no issue and I have played them on my laptop screen/external monitor back and forth. I'm even more confused because this game is much easier to run than the other games that still work (Dark Souls 3, Halo: MCC). When the game starts at the load screen it is in 30 FPS and then the load icon gets choppy and drops to 1 FPS. If I stick with it to the main menu the music goes in and out and the graphics are really choppy and still at 1-2 FPS.
Specs:
Dell G5 15
- Intel i7-8750H
- Nvidia GTX 1060
- 16 GB RAM
I have already specified my Nvidia GPU as the main GPU to use, I did this for my 3D graphics settings as a whole and for the game specifically. I also have tried running it as an admin from Steam as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Really at a dead end with figuring this out, any help is greatly appreciated!
