Hello i have a old mp3 player where i would like to take some music from.

Windows doesn't recognize the device nothing happens when i plug it into my pc except the mp3 player charging.

on the back it says: Made in China / (site doesn't work anymore) / P50571

in the settings on the mp3 player it says: Firmware version

date: 2008/12/05

core: 9.5.54

Try this..

And quote:

1) Right-click the specific application and click Properties. 2) Go to Compatibility tab, then check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for: 3) Select the version of Windows to use for your application in the drop-down box. 4) Click Apply and OK to save the change.

The only other thing that I would suggest is to see if any of the media players see it where you could pull the data off?

There have been a few devices that require the software to be installed for them to work.

Others may have suggestions.
