As for Ccleaner, it shows the analyze and run cleaner, is that what I have to do? There would be no log.

Hello Isorene, there's no mention or requirement to use CCleaner, the request was to supply a Speccy report.

Please follow this and post the required report.

Please go HERE and download the portable version of Speccy. Save it to somewhere you can find, locate the file and as it comes as a Zip file use your favorite unzip application to decompress it. Open the newly created folder and double left click Speccy.exe if you have a 32 bit system or Speccy64.exe if yours is 64bit. If you are not sure what your system is click HERE.

Speccy will open and after a short wait will display a summary of your system specs.
  1. Click on the file menu.
  2. Then click Publish snapshot.

A dialogue box will ask you to confirm, select yes.

Another dialogue box will open
  1. Click Copy to Clipboard.
  2. Then click Close.

Now that your link has been copied please paste it into your next post. It should look something like the example below:)

BTW: once you have finished with speccy and no longer want it removing it is easy because it is a portable app with no install. Simply delete the downloaded file and folder you created when you decompressed it. Gone:thumbsup:

Windows Repair.

Install (use the direct download) the Tweaking.com - Windows all in one repair tool. Then boot Windows into Safe Mode, (Make Certain To Run This Program As Administrator) then run through the Prescan on step 2 tab. Then skip to step 5 and create a system restore point. Then go to the repair tab...

Notice create a registry backup is ticked by default, so no need to do so in step 5...

Now run the program, with the boxes ticked in the picture below.

May want to save picture or write down what boxes need ticked, since you will run this in Safe Mode.

Important: Make certain to reboot twice after running this tool!!

Hi
I have no username or password, how can I do that, then? Sorry for my ignorance, but this is a second hand laptop that had Windows already installed, so I did not have to make an account, can I make one now, or what's the best option?

I think you may be a little confused, you were requested to download "Tweaking.com Windows repair" then boot your computer into safe mode, then RIGHT CLICK the downloaded app and SELECT "Run as Administrator" Unless you need a username & password to start your computer there is no need to worry about one.

So, how is the machine running now?
It was, but now again I have the same problem plus a new one! When I go to most, not all, but most secured sites, I get this message:
This site can’t provide a secure connection
www.check-mot.service.gov.uk sent an invalid response.

ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

So I searched online, and it said to disable experimental quic protocol in Chrome (among other things), which I did and it worked for a while then the same so I put it default again, but still.

As you have Windows 10 can you try another browser from the one you're having issues with.

You should have Chrome, Edge, and Internet Explorer to choose from according to info already supplied.

I had tried at least one of the websites that I am having trouble with on Edge, and the same error showed up, so I did not try any other website, but now I tried again and at least 2 of those websites are working normally (on Edge), so maybe I just change default browser? But still I have the original problem of videos not loading and no audio, most of the times.

Download ResetBrowser to your desktop.

Now close all open browsers. All browsers MUST be closed during this operation!

Right click and Run as Administrator

Click on Reset Chrome-- Allow completion.
Click on Reset Firefox-- Allow completion.
Click on Reset Internet Explorer-- Allow completion.

Now reboot your machine. After doing so, test again and let me know what happens :)

I had trouble with the browser reset but finally it worked. Then after a day or 2 the laptop was slow and I restated it but now it starts, my desktop opens and after a minute or so, it freezes and I can't do any scans or restore, I had tried to go into safe mode but it freezes before I am able to do so.
