Hi,
I'm new here, and just received a new computer in the mail (used).
Unfortunately it got a little rough handling during shipping, and a visible dent in the case although no internal visible damages.
The PC in question is this one, an HP gaming computer with an rtx 3060.
I'm trying to pinpoint if the issue is the motherboard or the PSU before i gamble on buying a PSU for 1/6 of the price of the computer. The case is this:
When pushing power button the only sign of life is a green light in the ethernet port (which is integrated in the motherboard). This proves the power button is not the issue and that the motherboard at least have some power. No fans (not even in PSU) and no other lights. RAM is taken out and in, all cabels are taken out and in, and the CMOS battery is removed and reinstalled. PC has been disconnected, and power button pressed for 30 sec. The PC has also been attempted booted without the GPU (yes the motherboard has an integrated HDMI as well).
Would greatly appreciate some thoughts on whether I should gamble on a new PSU or if this might be the motherboard. Thanks a lot!
Here's a pic of its internals:
