It was a wonderful 24 hours - some before I plugged-in the Wi-Fi and some after. Beginning at 11:00 AM today however...
I've had to 'diagnose' and refresh my pages 5 times (so far) in 20 minutes. :( Not quite as bad as earlier but still very demoralizing.

I'll tell you - my life is imploding and there seems to be No corner that is being left unmolested.
I realized last week that my Word was doing something weird but I didn't take time to delve into it. I found an opportunity to apply for a promotion at work today and dug out my resume and...
My Word is publishing everything I write to Internet Explorer! Do you know why it would do that? I can't edit anything because - apparently - it's a web page or something. I don't know.
I have my Internet Explorer shut down. I've Never used it. I hate it. I think I put it in a zip file even. But when I use my CCleaner - I notice that Internet Explorer always has stuff in it and the Cleaner is not able to clean it up. I just figured it was a (fairly) benign intrusion to my right to not use it.
But now it's capturing my Word writings.
I cannot wait to get rid of this whole shebang and get a Linux. smdh

Sorry tried to post answer earlier but site was having problems.
We can maybe upgrade to windows 10:eek:
Or try a dual boot to linux
Have you used linux.
No problem whatsoever. I'm just grateful you're still with me at all. smh
I don't do any of this. I work and go to sleep 90% of the time. When I have spare time, I get on computer, watch Frasier on Hulu, read some headlines on Twitter and play Zoo Tycoon. I Never, ever click on anything in any areas to make changes. The computer does all that by itself.

I've never used Linux but someone who seems to know a lot about computers told me it's the only way to stay away from Windows and Apple, which I would love to do. I don't care about Apple I guess but I never want to see Windows again.

so word is ok now ?
You are working on the dell wifi - is it stable
I just typed something on Word and when I went to save it, I noticed that "file type" was "web page." So it Was me. I must have somehow clicked that when I saved something a month or so ago and it has just stayed clicked all this time and saved everything as a Web page. Does that sound right?

And yes - I just opened the thing I just typed and it opened as Word since I changed the 'file type' to 'Word Document' instead of 'Web Page.' smh at my dang self.

Internet is stable for now. But it is most of the time. It's just every now and then that it goes into the 'have to diagnose and refresh' mode. Except for last two weeks. Last two weeks it's gone into it for a couple hours every day and I've had to diagnose and refresh every 30 seconds.
