Solved new CPU/MOBO/RAM

Hello, I'm going to be buying a new CPU/MOBO/RAM as my i5 4670k is pretty outdated and i'm recently starting to notice the slow down massively. I'm going to be upgrading with a budget of around £500 ( can be under of course but doesn't need to be). Also my current case can fit and I have a CX 550M PSU !

I'm bouncing between the i7 9700k, Ryzen 7 3700x & the Ryzen 5 3600x.
This PC is pretty much solely for gaming and browsing but i'd like to have something future proofed for a couple of years. Just as a side note I have the 1060 3gb at the moment but will also be upgrading that on the next couple of months after I do this.
If you could find the parts on https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/ that would be great, if not list below !

Thanks in advanced.

What type of Windows product key do you have, full retail or OEM that only allows a single use, we need to ask this as there is no point in us suggesting parts if it transpires that you need to purchase a new product key out of your maximum budget.

To help with future proofing you should get at least 16GB of RAM.

The CX 550M PSU is ok to use with the present GPU but it will need to be replaced further down the line when you upgrade the GPU.

Sorry mean to send as a reply

Performance and cost wise the AMD Ryzen 7 3700X comes out on top and the 9700K the reverse as in it is more expensive but comes out last, the one thing that the 9700k has in its favour is the integrated graphics that the 3700X does not have, I never recommend a build that does not have a back up video option even if it means paying a bit more for an Intel as opposed to an AMD build, no need for this as you have an alternative AMD to consider that does have onboard video while at the same time matching the other specs of the 3700X.

Take a look at the benchmarks here and let us know what you think.

NB: We would rather that you did not quote every reply in any event so stick to just typing your reply in the dialogue input box first.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for quoting, my bad. I'm think i'm set on on the 3700x as it seems like the best overall.

Just to pick the mobo now would it be prefered to go with a b550 / x570 bored since they're newer ?

I kid you not Zaltor but when I did my list on PCP it came out at just over £487.00, hang fire until you can get a X570 board within your budget.

Sorry Zaltor but out of the three CPUs the 3700x comes out second with us techs, the Ryzen 7 PRO 4750G is an example of what AMD can produce to take on Intel HD capable CPUs that can cost upwards of £100+ more.
