Every other device in the house is running fine with wifi. I did a speed test with my 4G phone connection and recieved 30+mbps. My desktop is getting les than 1mbps connected to our wifi.

I'm using windows 10, just reset modem and router, also just updated wireless adapter and ran diagnostics on connection as well as my wireless adapter. Will provide any other information needed

Since most desktop computers don't come with wifi, you probably installed something. What is the brand and exact model of the wifi device you installed in the computer?

Thank you for the reply!

I have 2 other roommates. There's usually around 2-6 devices connected at the same time.

My wireless adapter:

ASUS PCE-AC55BT 802.11ac Wireless-AC1200 Bluetooth 4.0 w/ Dual Antenna PCI-E Adapter

This desktop is only a couple months old. The internet has worked flawlessly until a couple days ago, even with all of my roommates' devices connected at the same time. I don't recall installing any updates or programs recently.

Edit: When I first made this post I was getting atleast 1 mbps. Our internet plan is for 40 mpbs. Today it is running .03 mbps :[

Double edit: Did some more research and found a temporary fix but hopefully permanent. Went to Device Manager> selected my network adapter's properties> disabled 802.11n/ac Wireless Mode> switched 802.11a/b/g Wireless Mode from Dual Band 802. 11a/b/g to 2.4GHz 802. 11b/g

My PC's internet speed seems like it's back to normal. I'll post update again soon.

Update: PC internet speed today is getting 6 mpbs download 4mpbs upload 10 ms ping.
