Need help with crashing to desktop after loading a game. New RTX 3080

So i recently installed an RTX 3080 to replace my 2060 and ever since doing so i keep getting kicked to desktop whenever i load games, it's incredibly frustrating because i've tried so many things but the issue still remains. My specs are -

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
GPU: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
Ram: 32gb 3600mhz
Motherboard: X570 AORUS MASTER (AM4)
PSU: 750w Gold

I am now wondering if my PSU is the issue. It's the recommended 750w so i don't understand why it would be but i've tried everything now. I do not get any crash errors so i cannot even use Event viewer to see what's causing the problem. If you have any ideas or recommendations i would very much appreciate it! Thanks for taking the time to read!

Could be a pure coincidence that it only happens with those two games.

How old is this PSU.

Have you made sure that the Eco mode switch is in the off position when you are gaming.

Side note;

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
Ram: 32gb 3600mhz

That is the wrong RAM for your CPU, AMD state here up to 3200MHz and if you have XMP or DOCP enabled the RAM will get auto OCd past what the CPU can handle and the PC fall over.

Go into the BIOS, disable XMP and then manually set the RAM to run at 3200MHz and the voltage to 1.35V.

You should also make sure that the Windows Power Plan is set to Balanced and not High Performance or Ryzen Balanced.

Thanks for the reply! Also the Psu is roughly 4 years old, I have set my memory ram speed to run at 3200mhz and I continue to get the crashes still. Can’t exactly put a finger on it myself, could be a game issue rather than hardware.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply as we have to read the full post to make sure nothing gets missed,, thanks.

Did you save the new settings before exiting the BIOS and did you then restart the computer to allow the new settings to be applied.

What about the PSUs Eco Mode switch and the Windows Power Plan.

(1) Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

(2) Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.

Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options;

List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
List Installed Programs
List Devices (Only Problems)
List Users, Partitions and Memory size

Click on Go.

Post the resulting log in your next reply for us if you will.
