Solved Need Help Selecting GPU

Hey All,

I'm building a PC that will see moderate use of photography programs. The build specs are listed below but need help selecting a proper GPU, I don't want to spend $600 on a GPU if I don't have to. I'm hoping a GTX 980 or a GTX 1060 would be sufficient but I am concerned about these being 192-bit, wouldn't I want a 256-bit card? Whats the difference and when does this really matter in terms of performance? I am also concerned if it would support a 4k monitor.

Hello Smoky83,

No need to spend $600 on a GPU, in answer to your question regarding bits, the more bits a card has the better the video quality.

We could do with knowing what motherboard and case you have, some GPUs are quite large so we need to make sure that there is room inside of the case, couple of cards to consider at the link here
