hello everyone hopefully you can please assist me i am looking for a pcie card that has multiple usb 3.2 gen 2 ports on it so i can run external nvme ssds without a loss in speed. USB 3.2 gen 2 is suppost to support 20gbps but rvrry review ive seen has them only hitting 3.1-3.9 mbps so im asuming they are usb 3.1 ports instead of 3.2 gen 2. if i am wrong and that is the speed they acctually run wouldnt that be faluse advritising. they reason im asking is because im buuilding a home server and i wand tio be able to run multiple nvme ssds, sata ssds and hdds internally amd even more externally to make it faster to transfer files to different computers. usb 4 isnt out yet but claims 40gbps the same as nvme pcie gen 5. and pcie gen 4 only transfers at 5 gbps so i wanted to use usb 3.2 gen 2 to run some nvme ssds at the advritised 20 gbps speed since it would be 4 times faster. but ive watched 5 usb 3.2 gen 2 pcie card reviews and the speed was not close to what it is claimed to be. so i was just wondering if they are testing junk pcie usb 3.2 gen 2 cards or if the speeds advritised are all complete bs. thankyou for and help possible i appriciate it.
