I have a 2TB WD Mycloud NAS drive connected to my BT Infinity Router which is also connected to a BD Player and my Windows 10 PC, In the past I have been able to drag and drop video, music and photo files onto the NAS Drive so that they can be streamed to the BD Player. The NAS drive folder appeared under the "THIS PC" icon and I could literally drag and drop these files into that folder. But since resetting my PC the NAS drive appears twice under the "NETWORK" listing and when clicked simply takes me to the control panel "web page" address of the NAS Drive, or Windows Security asks me for a password and user name. Firstly which username is it asking me for is it a WINDOWS password or a password for the NAS Drive, I have entered a NAS Drive password and that doesnt work simply displaying the error message shown in the attachment. Using the network connection I can access the drive so it is working and installed on my PC, but its the drag and drop facility I need to utilise. Can anyone offer any advice on how to correct the issue

SOLVED the issue, apparently I needed to create a second U/N and Password on the web based Control Panel, then enter that into the Windows securtiy popup ;-)

Glad you got it solved, whenever you "reset" or reinstall your OS you will be asked for your password again, but in my experience with Buffalo, D'Link, and Qnap NAS it has always accepted the same password as set previously on the nas.

Seeing it's now fixed will mark it solved.
