Hello,

I have samsung m2 ssd, with a regular ssd didnt had such a problem..

also, the m2 is pretty much new bought it 1 year ago and have that problem from at least half a year ago.
what can cause this to happen? i can format it but dont want to. is it just defective?

We need more info to diagnose.

Download Speccy please.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

  1. In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
  2. In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
  3. Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot dialog box. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

and the slowness is just during boot?
once you get into Windows, the speed is fine?
that is Word files open quickly, file transfers to USB are quick, Adobe Reader opens virtually instantly.... that sort of thing.

Download the Norton removal tool and check please.

What is the make and model of the PSU?

Let's have a look at the information that the Minitoolbox shows.

Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop. Right click on the file and select Run as Admin

Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options.

Put the hash mark in
Select All

Click on Go.

copy and paste the contents of the file called MTB.txt or attach the file to your next post.

If you were to disconnect the other two drives how does the system boot?

Clear the CMOS?

Gone into the BIOS to confirm the drives are setup correctly?

Open an elevated command prompt:
Hit Start, type cmd, then CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER.
An elevated prompt should open, in this prompt copy and paste this into it.

powercfg -h off

Reboot.

To turn it back on simply replace the off with on.

-h = hibernate

What this does is delete the hiberfil.sys file that can grow quite large and get corrupted causing issues such as you're seeing.

It's the first thing I do on all my systems when they are new. I leave it off. Some want it on and that's ok too.
