Solved MSI Monitor built-in HD Camera stopped working/broke after PC crashed

Question, is the input source set to Type C in the monitors OSD settings.
In the OSD I can activate using the analog stick on the bottom right back corner of the monitor I can see that the input source is set to "Display Port".

Thinking about it, my monitor is connected with both Display Port and USB C to my PC, as I noticed that "HD Camera" disappears from the Device Manager if I unplug the USB C and only keep the DP,

I thought DP was for monitor displaying and USB C was to connect the HD Camera? 🤔

Hey there, Phill!

I've been all afternoon and evening, my head is exploding but I thought I'd update you on this.
These are all the steps I've done so far:
  1. Hard Format every disk (included partitions) and fresh installed Win11 on the SSD 250GB;
  2. Once in, BIOS were already updated, I updated all storage units drivers, GPU drivers, CPU drivers and installed the MSI monitor drivers to both the monitor and the camera in the device manager.
Camera is still recognized in the device manager but when I try to open it it doesn't capture any image whatsoever.
I believe at this point it's faulty hardware, burnt due to the crash my PC had before all this fresh install.

I suppose I am giving up and just buy a new stan-alone camera off Amazon at this point... o_O

UPDATE

Apparently after reinstalling the "Gaming Intelligence" utility software for the monitor, camera started working again!
I have no clue what was the whole process that fixed it correctly.
You can find the utility software here (for my specific model):

Thanks for the support, Phill!
