Hello,
Got another rig with RAM issues. Pretty sure the motherboard is bad, but I'd like someone else's input before I go and condemn it.

MOBO: Intel DH67BL BIOS 0163 (Latest BIOS to the best of my knowledge since Intel pulled all their support files..)
CPU: i7-2600k
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Turbo (Dual Fan)
GPU: RX570 4GB
RAM: PNY 4x4GB 1600 MHz P/N#: 64C0JKHHJ (Tested the RAM in other rigs... works fine.)
PSU: EVGA 80+ 600w
Boot: Intel 256 GB SSD (Sata III)
Storage: Western Digital Green 2TB 5400RPM HDD
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Speccy: http://speccy.piriform.com/results/ZK5htpGHpVCDtbZFX7xYTGn

The Issue: Will not POST with RAM installed in DIMM 2 or 4 in any combination. Will only post with RAM in DIMM 1 and or 3. I got the board malfunctioning, so I don't know the last time it worked correctly. I don't have another processor to test the board with.
Been exploring the BIOS and I can't seem to locate anything that would cause this issue... Tried restoring factory defaults. No go.
Any thoughts?

Try the memory 1 stick at a time in each slot and go from there. If a stick that works in another slot but not 2 or 4 would suggest you found your issue and it's time to bin that relic board. BTW that board does not support windows 8 or 10, so motherboard drivers might be tricky.

I already tried individual RAM also... won't POST with RAM in either DIMM slot 2 or 4. I have it running Windows 10 right now... What kind of drivers does the MOBO need potentially? I've never had an issue with drivers on a board before.. I usually just use Windows update and it downloads all it can and it works great from there... Also: I ordered a Gigabyte GA-Z77M-D3H board... Fingers crossed on this one, lol. This one says it supports Windows 8... Shouldn't that be better for Windows 10?

A typical motherboard may need chipset drivers, video, audio, network etc, and relying on Windows to supply them is not always a happy ending. Have used many old boards with Widows 10 and mostly they work. Best rule is DO NOT get drivers through windows but rather the manufacturer of the hardware.

A windows 8 driver may or may not work with Windows 10, Only way to try and see?

Hope your new board works out ok

I got the new board in today and am going to install it tonight, but I'm curious.. what specific things on a board like this one can cause this issue? Could bent pins on a RAM slot cause this? Maybe two touching together?? BIOS chip? I'm going to inspect it carefully and see what I come up with. I hate throwing away old motherboards..

Humor me? :D

I installed the new motherboard and gave the old motherboard to a friend who likes to repair broken pc parts. No more issues.
Thanks for your help. Mark solved.
