Monitor Loses Connection when playing games

Hello, I tested the a game as for some reason the game works perfectly fine in windowed mode with no issue and only get the issue when running game on full screen.

And on MTB I see event id: 1000 every 5 second under application errors if this has anything to do with the issue.

Yes I upgraded my SSD back in December if this is what you noticed the difference but this was after I started seeing the issue.

What am I able to do with bad drivers? Any easy fix for that?

You don't have to reinstall windows.

Many people have this issue and some reformatted their pc, replaced their gpu and the list goes on. All of this doesn't help.
I currently assume something like an intel 10th gen issue under high load? Or maybe a z490 issue? Maybe a bios issue? Maybe even a ram issue?

One guy stated a temp fix is reducing the clock and memory speeds massively, which would also decrease the cpu load tbh and could therefor be a fix.
I am currently trying that..
Sorry do you mean the issue in which the monitor looses signal?

I looked at my hardware usage while playing and it doesn't look abnormal at all as this issue happens with random games aswell as outside of games (monitor turns black for a few seconds if opening random application at full screen) sometimes. I even limited my Mac cpu to 99% and it also doesn't help.

And to mention again it never happens when playing ark Survival evolved in which is a demanding game and haven't ones had any issue playing it which is really weird while other games takes the first second or hour for the issue to arise

Yes I am talking about that issue.. I also have it, and i can also confirm that it happens less likely when the gpu is demanded more. That's what's leading me to going towards the cpu side of things. Or ram, mainboard, ...
As I've mentioned, someone with this issue replaced his gpu twice and it didn't help.
Others formatted their whole pc, reinstalled windows, tested windows gpu drivers without any nvidia ones, nothing worked..
Which is a weird thing as many people have this while it also more points towards a hardware issue.. I have also not found anything regarding this older than a few weeks / months, which is also the same time that it has been happening and worsening for me.

Mind if I ask how long you had the issue for and if your pc is pre built like mine?

So far my issue is random and depends on the game can't judge how bad it is as it seems to happen at random times.

Mind if I ask if you are getting green dots (not being able to go to the windows login screen) on your screen when shutting down your pc and oning it again? When the issue happens?

Nope, check the specs at your HP link and you will note at least two major components are not the same, the CPU and the GPU that Speccy reports.

A weak PSU is still the main suspect but bad drivers as said can also cause such behaviour.

Not about to suggest anything until we establish the exact computer that you have, the PSU is still the main suspect.

Until we have the correct PC link and while you continue to discuss another members computer troubles here I will not be following this thread and will just wish you good luck.

On post #54 I attached an image in which the windows user screen won't show and only show me this screen with green dots but only happens very rarely.

But in your case yes very similar to mine on how your issue is happening. Both in main menu for some games and all the time while in game.

To check have you played a game in which you haven't had the issue for?

Also does the black screen happen outside of games aswell like your monitor turns black for a second and comes back on? Like mine does.

As almost all my issue as at the same degree from the get go as I remember it first happening early December.

I think you should follow the instruction to just send a correct pc link so they can confirm or deny their idea of the psu being the cause.

But to answer you again, I haven't had this happen for a few seconds only. It happens mostly on idle as I mentioned, but then fully loses connection with me having to forcefully shut down the pc and reboot. I think I can also confirm this being early december or january-ish. I haven't been on my pc much there due to xmas and new years and now I am also only home to use it on the weekend, which makes finding patterns harder.

Again, this didn't happen in r6, mw2, ... but now it does even in those.

i understand but this is really weird as i have time to test and the pattern for my end is all random and only progress i made is that windowed mode works but full screen screws everything up.

Hello,

I seem to have the problem again and while in windowed mode in game and it's weird this time as I did a pc restart and I'm stuck in the welcome screen after the user select (image attached)

at this stage, I'd still be suggesting a fresh install.
it actually has a good chance of fixing the issue simply because everything goes back to scratch but more importantly, you'll find the point at which it re-occurs (if it does) by loading one thing at a time, running the rig for a day or so and seeing how it behaves.
