My monitor displays this image:
proshop-MSi.jpg

It only happens in the first 2-5 min of starting my pc. or if it has been on sleep mode for a long time.
it doesnt do it if i connect a my mac but it still does when the monitor is starting up like the image shows

how can i be certain its the gpu and not the monitor? or could it be something else?

Remove the display card and use the onboard if you system can.

Other wise use a known working display card.

Put the Display card into a different system doe the same thing happen.

With out complete system specs make and model of would only be guessing.

Replace the power supply the display card that you have requires a 500 Watt.

VS = value series and only any good for integrated graphics.
