Solved Microsoft Office 2010

I am currently using Microsoft Office 2010.

Microsoft support for Office 2010 ends on 13 October 2020.

Would it be OK to carry on using it after this date or would it be advisable to invest in the latest office?
Would it make any difference to carry on using existing?

I was still happily using Office 2007 until 2 years ago.
I only moved onto to Office365 because I had a version at work that has a 5 device license.

as long as it still serves your needs - why upgrade.
"if it ain't broke - don't fix it"

stress over that decision when you have to - when no updates for 2010 are available and it has a major security flaw that directly effects you.

as of august 2020, XP market share was under 1%.

now on that front, since you are using an OS that is well past its end of life cycle and not getting security updates, personally I would be upgrading that to Win10.
but, of course, you will have to do a fresh install of Win10, then reload all your software and restore your data from backups. so a reasonably big job.
and maybe better tackled by simply buying a new PC as it sounds like this one has been around for a nice amount of time.
but the good news, Office 2010 will work on Win10. :)

Bruce,
Bit of a misunderstanding.
I am currently using Windows 10.
I was just assuming that some people were still using XP, rather than upgrading.
Apologies for the misunderstanding.
