I've tried every way I can see how to burn an audio CD today. I keep getting a message that there is 'no disc in drive'. Drive is there in Device Manager, but I do0n't know what else I should be able to 'see'. I'm on a Dell Inspiron N5030 (reluctantly having given up on my much loved XP Pro OS)

Maybe it's a faulty disc, have you tried another?

Can be several issues, including a dead burner. You could try uninstalling the drivers in device manager and rebooting to reinstall them also.
