Solved Low end gaming pc build - need help!

Couple of pointers for you;

Having 32GB of RAM is a total waste for your intended use of the computer, atm 8GB would be enough but having 16GB ready for games released in years to come is a sensible approach.

Your aftermarket cooler, a very important thing I must make you aware of, if you use it you will void your AMD CPU warranty, AMD are clear on this, see below;

This Limited Warranty shall be null and void if the AMD microprocessor which is the subject of this Limited Warranty is used with any heatsink/fan other than the one provided herewith.

Never heard of that brand of TV so used Google, seems that they are not very well thought of see reviews here

FWIW: If I was paying out so much money on a new build I would be wanting an i7 CPU, a GTX 1080 and an SSD included in the build cost.

If you don't mind my 2 cents, even with the warranty issue, the cooler you picked is not a great one. And I completely agree with phillpower's comment about better components.

Never said one way or the other that an i7 was better only that I would want one in such an expensive build, AMD builds tend to be less expensive than Intel builds so what I am actually suggesting is that your proposed build looks costly, stick with a Ryzen 5 CPU by all means but look to bring in an SSD and a GTX 1080.

Well id like to add a 1080, but I think ive gone all out with the money I have because ive allready upped the build price by about 500$, maybe more. Perhaps you have some good builds for 1k800?

Will be happy to put an example list of parts together for but it may not be until the weekend if that is ok with you, got work to do + a bit of leisure time lined up tomorrow and Saturday morning UK time.

You will note that in my reply #29 I said "Example list" it is entirely up to you what parts you finally decide upon and we are only offering guidance.

From memory I recall it as being over $500 but it is now sold out in most places, like I said previously, no point in settling on a parts list until you are ready to purchase else you will either end up paying over the odds or not get the exact parts you had lined up.

If using a computer and not a mobile phone, please avoid adding multiple posts while waiting for us to reply to your last, edit your last post to include anything that you wish to add, this will ensure nothing gets overlooked which can sometimes happen if a thread has more than one page.

Well I saw a YouTube video, the more sticks of ram, even if it's the same amount will go faster.

Not sure what video you watched but it is not accurate information.

Any RAM in your system will only run as fast as the CPU will allow it and any program that you are running will only use as much RAM as it needs and will only transfer data as fast as the program requires and as fast as the CPU can handle it, atm 8GB is sufficient for most games but some flight sims etc benefit from having 16GB available.

I've given my build some thought, and ive listened to all your help, I did find a good build that I customised and added better peripherals. The only item missing is a cpu cooler, and id perffer a fan more than water cooling. I have included my profile name so you can find my build as my link dosent embed. Sirprize101
