Breach of Rules
Hi there,

I was hoping someone could help.

I have a new Lenovo which I have recently been locked out of. There are three login options: finger-print scanner, pin, and password. All three are currently set-up on my device but I’ve only ever needed to use the finger-print because it works so well.

This afternoon I successfully reset my PIN as an annual security update and kept using my device. When I tried to turn on my laptop this evening, however, it refused my finger print and prompts me to use my PIN. But, when I put in the PIN, it says that there is an error and I’ll need to change my PIN in settings once I’ve logged in.

This leaves my password but given that I haven’t used it in so long I’ve clean forgotten it.

I haven’t set-up a password recovery usb.

Is there any way that I can get into my device?
