Not open for further replies.
Hi Guys, I just bought a new laptop to help with my studies. I bought it during a sale so i got a good price for it. The laptop runs slow so a friend suggested i try upgrading my RAM. I checked the amazon page and it says my laptop RAM is expandable upto 12 GB. I called a local computer technician and he said he couldn't find a suitable RAM for my laptop. I am having a difficult time finding one and was wondering if any of you guys could help me with this. I am attaching details about my laptop and whatever else about the RAM. Much appreciated if you guys could help.

Hello crazyfoco723,

Computers that can only be upgraded to 12GB of RAM usually have 4GB of non removable RAM that is soldered into the MB and due to the manufacturers limitations on the BIOS the one slot available will only recognise a maximum of an 8GB memory stick.

You can either post you notebooks model name or number here and we will check or you can run the Crucial scanner tool which will tell you any upgrade options that you may have.
