I've had my laptop for a long time and it has been through daily use. Up until recently, all the keys were fine. The e key popped off - no bid deal I can still use the sticky portion underneath. Well, tonight it came off, leaving me with a flat e. Funny enough, the e button itself still works if I apply a little force. :p I already ordered a replacement key, but I've never had to replace a key before. Will the replacement come with the sticky thing? If not, what is it called so I can look into buying one?

If you have no clue what I'm talking about, I can provide pictures.

yeah, a picture would be great.
and you can always use a USB keyboard until it is resolved.

In the screenshot with the E key, the thing on the left side is the sticky thing that was in the keyboard itself. Even after the E key popped out, that thing stayed in and still worked until last night when it came off.

the replacement probably won't come with a 'sticky thing'.
but it can be glued back on with a contact adhesive.
don't use super glue or Araldite or anything that sets hard.

Can I buy a replacement "sticky thing"? Like...I don't even know exactly how it goes on. What is that thing even called?
