So it looks like (stupidly) the only way to change the timer on my keyboard backlight is to go into the BIOS, I do have a keyboard shortcut but it only works for the brightness, not how long to keep the backlight on. Does anyone know of a program that I can install that would take care of this so I don't have to go into my BIOS everytime I want to change it. I'm using an HP ProBook 450 G3 and running Windows 10 Pro 64

From what I have researched off the HP site the only way is through the BIOS. There may be on the HP site some software for you model that may help with this you would have to look.

okay so I contacted hp, and they said that unfortunately the only way to do it is through the bios. i asked if they know of any 3rd party software that can do it and they said no. So it looks like I just have to do it through the BIOs, I guess its a good thing I hardly use my laptop anymore since building my desktop rig, lol. So i think we can consider this solved.
