Hi,, I'm new. have had at startup a notification pop up mid screen asking me to grant permission for a program to make changes to my computer,, kinda like the ones i use to get from Microsoft when i had updates from Microsoft.. cant find it in programs and features.. what do i need to do? ran a few microsoft fixs but still have the problem..

To avoid any repetition, what exactly have you tried.
ok.. Microsoft sent me a link to run trouble shooters that once i started them, the would make repairs automatically and ask my if they were fixed. I'd say no and another trouble shooter would pop up and i would start if and it would ask me if that fixed the problem, i said no. if you're asking me the actual name of the trouble shooting programs i will spend the next ,,, however long it takes me to find them again and reply.. i believe one was a boot start installer test. thanks for being patient with me.. i'm here because you guys know whats what and I respect your knowledge and ability to quickly pick avenues to pursue a problem.. and dont worry and not getting back to me right away. Oh and my real name is Gary Fregeau

Hello Gary,

Thanks for the additional info (y)

Post an Autoruns log for us, see here

1: Extract the Autoruns Zip file contents to a folder.

2: Double-click the "Autoruns.exe".

3: Click on the "Hide Signed Microsoft and Windows Entries” option.

4: Go to File then to Export As or Save in some versions.

5: Save AutoRuns.txt file to known location like your Desktop > when you click on File > Save you will then get the option to Save as type, click the drop down tab, change it to Text and then click the Save button.
