Solved Issue activating onboard GPU in BIOS whilst using PCIe GPU (both HDMI)

Hi,

I have googled and found that an easy BIOS setting adjustment should make using the motherboard's GPU via HDMI possible whilst using the HDMI associated with the PCIe GPU.

However my BIOS seems not to be cooperating with an available setting change. I have checked all available options, and saw one person said there should be a IGFX option in 'Initial Display output' as a listed option but i only get the three PCIe options as show in the image below.

Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 3

Any suggestions on whats going on here and how i can resolve?

What processor do you have Jado?

Have you looked under the chipset settings in the BIOS?

NB: In case you are not aware, using an add on GPU and the MBs IGPU in tandem is not available on all MBs.

wow, that mobo literally as one graphics port, a HDMI, didn't know they made mobo's with just one these days.
in BIOS, selecting the integrated port normally implies VGA or DVI, so maybe HDMI is not considered as integrated (long shot I know but hey).

You must be entrenched in the high-end of PC builds, good for you (y) but they are actually most common. So commonly setting up the added HDMI from the motherboard is an automatic detection once the BIOS is adjusted.

Try to ignore this guy's annoying nature, but this shows a Gigabyte MB being set up quite easily.

Hey! I have an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six- Core Processor 3.40 GHz (y)(y)

I get your note, i suppose the question needs to be, is my MB without this option for certain, or is there a solution? I would rather not assume the negative :)

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but the MBs two video ports do not work because the Ryzen 5 2600 CPU does not have any integrated graphics, please see the below;

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 specifications

The following from your MBs specs here

Integrated Graphics Processor:
1 x DVI-D port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200@60 Hz
* The DVI-D port does not support D-Sub connection by adapter.
1 x HDMI port, supporting a maximum resolution of 4096x2160@24 Hz
* Support for HDMI 1.4 version.
Maximum shared memory of 2 GB

* Actual support may vary by CPU.

Newegg here are more clear on this than Gigabyte :(

Onboard Video Chipset
Supported only by CPU with integrated graphic:
1 x DVI-D port, supporting a maximum resolution of 1920x1200@60Hz
