Hello everyone,
I was using an Alienware x51 r1 pc for gaming for 8years until the chipset got fried and now Dell says they can't do anything but trash it. I was looking to get a good enough gaming pc assembled. I was looking at the following hardware:
1. AMD RYZON 7 3700X PROCESSOR octacore 3.6GHz 65W
2. AMD AM4 X570 ATX gaming motherboard with PCIe 4.0, dual M.2, Wi-Fi, 14 Dr. MOS power stages, HDMI, DP, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Aura Sync RGB lighting
3. GALAX GeForce RTX™ 2060 Super EX (1-Click OC) 8GB GDDR6 256-bit DP/HDMI GPU
4. 16GB RAM
5. 1TB HDD with 240GB SSD.

What do you think of this configuration?

PLEASE HELP!!

Ryzen CPUs are notorious for not liking slow RAM so you need to change your 2666MHz RAM to something that will overclock to at least 3200MHz, CPU specs here

You need a better brand and efficiency rated PSU, GPU specs here say you need 550W. the CM PSU info label here states a max of 540W.

Which power supply do you need?
Thanks a lot. Will get it done. But otherwise, what do you think of the configuration? Good enough for most games??

Depends on what games you would like to play, I would suggest that before you make any purchase you check Can You Run It for each game first.

Also worth mentioning are the following;

Your 16GB of RAM needs to be 2 Xs 8GB sticks so that it works in dual channel, if you were to get a single 16GB stick it will only work in single channel, 50% of the speed you will get from having two 8GB sticks.

If any of the games you want to play are online games, performance will only be as good as your internet service, you can have the best spec hardware on the market but if your internet connection is poor so will your online gaming be.

You may be able to save yourself some cash but get a slightly better GPU in the process, see benchmarks here

You are welcome btw :)
