Is GPU in properly?

I put in my GPU in but i thought it wasn't in place properly so i tried to remove it but i couldn't. The GPU is too big and i cant reach the retention clip and the end of the pcie socket and it wont budge with a screw driver. I screwed the GPU so it doesn't slowly rip hopeful. However i'm not quite sure if its fully in as i didn't here it click and it doesn't look all the way in. Is there anything wrong?

I'm not quite sure the GPU is in because it didn't click but either way I can't remove it so it's jammed. The latch is covered by the GPU and i tried using a pen to click it but to no prevail. Because i don't think it's in i cant click it in and then remove it. And i can only remove the left side of the GPU as I believe the latch is holding the right side.

If you are still unable to remove the add on video card, if at all possible remove the MB from the case and then remove the add on GPU, this only possible if there is no MB mounting screw beneath the video card.

I haven't fully built my pc yet so I haven't turned it on and I don't want to continue because apparently if it isn't in all the way and I turn it on it can cause damage of some sort. It will be a pain with all the wires around the motherboard so I won't continue until I hear the GPU snap in place or I remove it and put it in place properly

Are you suggesting removing the motherboard from the case. I could do that but it's a last resort as thats a big headache i don't want to have. But thanks for the advice. I'll do it if worst comes to the worst

This the reason why removing the board from the chassis would be the safest option, if something shorts out you are not just looking at a bad GPU but most likely everything attached to the MB.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help any and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.
 
I have removed and inserted the GPU several times but I can't get it all the way in I've tried using the bottom pcie slot but to no prevail. Do I have any compatibility issues?. Nzxt h510 and x570 tuf gaming pro WiFi mobo

You should use the PCI-E slot closest to the top of your picture ( in the above post) for best performance. That is the slot next to your SSD drive.

Have you tried Phillpower's advice and removed the motherboard and try to fit the card with the board outside the PC? If not will you please do so?
 
This may be a little confusion on my part but after some more research does all the motherboard connected have to be in the pcie slot? Is the bottom photo of the GPU all connected. I've been told that it is elsewhere but the reason I'm assuming otherwise is because it doesn't look all the way in. Does all the connector have to go in or can it look like the bottom photo. Thanks

Have you tried Phillpowers advice yet?

Yes all the contacts on the connector must be engaged.
