Solved Internet cuts out

Hi
I have recently started losing internet for just a few seconds and is totally random as to when. I have a wired connection and noticed that when the globe appears in task bar showing connection is lost that my router light still stays green. connection goes off for around 5 seconds then reconnects. I have changed my router and put a new ethernet cable in but to no avail so could anyone advise please.
 
Ok, if it cuts out again, then I will need to see what is going on with the machine via this tool. So if it cuts out again, just download and run this tool, post the log.

Please downloaded MINITOOLBOX unzip to your desktop and run it as admin.

Checkmark following boxes:

Flush DNS
Reset FF proxy Settings
Reset Ie Proxy Settings
Report IE Proxy Settings
Report FF Proxy Settings
List content of Hosts
List IP configuration
List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer log
List Installed Programs
List Users, Partitions and Memory size
List Devices (problems only)

Click Go and Attach the log in your reply.

Try refreshing the page with F-5 if that fails then... Use this site, and then send me the link to it.

No need to quote everytime; Give me a few to go over it.

Open elevated command and copy the command below hit enter, the open startup.txt on your desktop and post it here.

wmic startup list full >%userprofile%/desktop/startup.txt
 
You have had bitdefender on the machine at one time and now have Kaspersky, which will certainly cause issues. You can reinstall Kaspersky at a later time, I'm not asking you to stop using it, as far as the other programs I am listing they are garbage software and are not needed on any computer ever. If you decide to leave the other programs that is fine by me only a suggestion, but without a doubt you need to uninstall the items in red.

Uninstall the following programs with GeekUninstaller.

Bitdefender Agent (HKLM\...\Bitdefender Agent) (Version: 21.0.25.55 - Bitdefender)
Bonjour (HKLM\...\{6E3610B2-430D-4EB0-81E3-2B57E8B9DE8D}) (Version: 3.0.0.10 - Apple Inc.)
Driver Booster 9 (HKLM-x32\...\Driver Booster_is1) (Version: 9.3.0 - IObit)
IObit Malware Fighter 9 (HKLM-x32\...\IObit Malware Fighter_is1) (Version: 9.1.1.650 - IObit)
IObit Software Updater (HKLM-x32\...\IObit Software Updater_is1) (Version: 4.5.1.257 - IObit)

Wise Disk Cleaner 10.8.5 (HKLM-x32\...\Wise Disk Cleaner_is1) (Version: 10.8.5 - WiseCleaner.com, Inc.)


Then reboot your machine immediately after uninstalling the software listed above, this is very important!

Then, install Unlocker and Everything Search engine.
Type Bitdefender into the everything search engine window, and then click edit select all, right click highlighted text then select unlocker then delete.

Repeat the same for Kaspersky





Reset your Hosts file, it isn't listed correctly under minitoolbox log.

  1. Click here to download RstHosts v2.0\
  2. Save the file to your desktop.
  3. Right Click and Run as Administrator.
  4. Click on Restaurer, then click OK at the prompt.
  5. This will restore the default host file.



After you have uninstalled the programs listed, then you will need to reset windows 10 network as you did in the first post, then test for a while before you reinstall Kaspersky. :)

wow ok thanks Ive had Kaspersky for a few years now and not had this problem until recently so do i just use windows defender for a while ?
 
Sure, there may be some residual files from bitdefender conflicting with Kasperky.

Trust me, I have seen several different Antivirus cause network issues over the years, sometimes completely removing the software is what it takes to get things rolling.

No matter if you have used it for 10 years, it's simply just what happens sometimes, I am only asking you to remove Kaspersky for a 24 hour period just to test if that is the issue. There are a few other things we can try, we just need to make sure the antivirus is not the issue.

ok i will try all this tomorrow and let you know. a bit unsure about the elevated command bit is it different command prompt?
